This is because they are user friendly and are up in the Google's first page in very little time. So for anyone to build a website without any experience this should be an easy thing to do! One more thing to mention with a blog type site instead of the regular type html site besides a more user Google user friendly site, is that it is interactive settings so the visitors to your site can ask you questions, and you can respond to it.
